Comments Thread For: Will Khalid Yafai Expand the Picture at 115?

By Cliff Rold - In a weekend chock full of fighting on the US airwaves, one of the more interesting bouts on tap didn't make the cut. Quality young heavyweights? Check. Jr. welterweight champion in front of a raucous hometown crowd? Check. A rock solid doubleheader on Showtime? Check. We've even got Julio...

Yafai has one of the best left hooks to the liver in the sport in order to land that money shot hes going to gamble getting countered with Concepcions vicious uppercut...interesting scenario. Right now Yafai is -260 on the line, that's ridiculous even insulting considering hes never fought at this level ; we don't know if he can sustain the type of onslaught Concepcion brings to a fight...its if as a KO victory for Yafai is the sure expectation because looking at his resume you cant really count on his experience in deep waters to assume hes going to box into a UD in the fact that hes only gone 12 twice....you see the problem is if you go 12 with Concepcion you are more than likely going to engage in a war and nobody can be sure Yafai is ready for that work.

Last thing : if Yafai gets the W hes a real champion....unlike them other frauds in Selby, Lee, McDonnell all those crooks from the UK...but hey those Brit love there Hype-Jobs for example Anthony Joshua is the star of the show! yeah so.....Yafai is better than Juiceua if all goes according to Hearns plans.

Idk, I remember being excited when fellow Yemeni Sadam Ali looked to be en route to contender status until he got stopped by a guy with like 10 KOs.\

I'll believe the hype when he proves it.

Joshua fight aside which on paper doesn't look like much but you never know maybe Molina bombs him out in an user it happens all the time with the big boys, but there are some cracking fights on the card

This and Whyte/Chisora and I think Burton/Buglioni will be a barnstormer. Not sure I would have Callum Smith so high up the card though.
