He was found working out at Mayweather's gym when he didn't show up in the Rios presscon. Which indicated that he had all the intentions of joining TMT. Unfortunately, Floyd didn't give a crap about him. 50 cent took care of him, fed him, gave him shelter, settled his lawsuit against Arum with the understanding that his partner (Floyd) at the time would get on board.

I don't understand why people are still considering him relevant in the upper-level of the sport. I see people saying he'll give Loma a run for his money, etc. Gamboa has a long road before he can prove he's at that level again, IMO.
He was a major talent at one point but a lot has happened (or rather, HASN'T happened) between then and now.
