I also agree about Arum not letting this happen. Mikey is dangerous but, mostly, Bob is a bitter old bastard and wants to stiff Garcia.

While I agree with everything you said there, I have to add it bothers me when I hear a fighter broadcast "yeah I will fight him, BUT,,,,blah blah money."

It is like erecting a road block right off the bat. Why not just say yeah I will fight him, and then let negotiations dictate the path.

Yea, I'm with you there. Ward does that shyt and it irritates the fk out of me. He still takes tough fights, as does Garcia, but why even start talking about money to the media? Save that for negotiations. Yea, money is the underlying issue for EVERY fighter but being so vocal about it is not the kind of thing that instills faith in the fans. Just invites criticism.

Yeah to me it just comes across as a statement lacking confidence. Not sure why, but we have seen many do it the past couple years. It just does not sit right.

He is not sure of win. So he wants big money to make it worth trying. Same as Walters did for example

If you're gonna negotiate with TR, you might as well seek a fight with Pacquiao @ 140! I doubt if Arum would let it happen, but that's a PPV fight worth $70! I wonder if Garcia or Loma are interested in facing Robert Easter?

Seems to me that fighters get criticized for fights not happening no matter what. Guy turns down short money and he is ducking. So does it really matter that they are up front about the business side of things? Prize fighting right.....

Mikey Garcia is not a bright bulb and so confused and greedy

Little Mikey is badly mismanaged and gets burro dung advice from morons who are clueless. Mikey has talent but has not used it correctly as sitting out for 3 years was a brilliant idea. Mikey needs a smart counselor who understands boxing and how to make money. Call Mike Tyson for career advice then. Si'
