and charlo had nothing to offer williams 2 years ago. wiliams just wanted to fight. charlo was like im going to go over here....for a couple yearsComment

Charlo was goin for the IBF 2 years ago. I don't think Williams had any rankings yet. It made no sense for Charlo to fight Williams but it did the other way around. Charlo was more known at that stage.
The fight has way more meaning December 10th than it would have in 2014, don't you think?Comment

Ayoo fellow sceners. I have done a breakdown and prediction for this fight on my blog, DKSAB.
This may not be a fight with P4P implications like Kovalev vs Ward. It may not have the glitz and glamour of a Saul Alvarez event. But in its own way this, for me, is what boxing is about. A genuin…
As you might expect, its heavily biased towards Williams winning.
Would love to get some feedback and discussion from you lovely, knowledgeable people.
Peace

A little teaser...
Williams is the best
Here we see what is quite a common move from Williams. While throwing his right hand he brings his back foot through, switching to a southpaw stance, from which he is able to land a left hand. This technique is great for closing distance quickly, but can leave you open to counters. Notice on the shift, Williams keeps his hands high and his eyes on his opponent. He knows the danger. Once on the inside he does a good job controlling Centeno’s head (illegally, but he’s from the same city Bernard Hopkins so what do we expect?) before landing a nice hook downstairs for good measure.

Ceullar UD, but there's two things he needs to be aware of. A couple of Mares' body shots will stray low. If the ref doesn't call them, it's going to be a long night.
The second thing is, Mares has a very interesting survival strategy, if he's buzzed. He'll turn the dial up on the machismo, and go Man of Steel at his opponent
. He's badly hurt, but he'll wave the opponent IN, like "give me more!!". It's so the opponent will back off, thinking he didn't actually hurt Mares. Mares' wobbly legs gives away the act but
...Ceullar must keep the foot on the accelerator, despite Mares invincible histrionics
.
But Mares just hasn't been the same since that devastating Gonzalez knockout loss. I just don't see it. He'll give Cuellar a tough scrap though.Comment
