Remember when they said they brought in the scales a couple hours before the fight, and Spinks was 163.Thats 15 or so pounds put on between the weigh in and the fight.Spinks seemed slower tonight then the previous encounter.I dont like Spinks, but he just did not seem to be as active as he was in the first fight. No jabs hardly, and movement seemed a bit slower. What do you guys think?
Did the weight affect Spinks

i dont think so he had enough energy to dance around in the beginning but i do think hes going to move up by the end of this year -
Not at all, if any weight effected him he should have shed it in training. Spinks moving up would be a mistake, the only person I give him a viable chance against would be at the 154 level and that be Winky. Spinks wants to fight Trinidad *haha*
Spinks needs to stay at welterweight and regain his confidence and belts..Comment

Originally posted by MayweatherfanI think with all do respect to Spinks, Zab kind of owns Cory now because he knows with one good shot he can mess Cory up. Zab beat Cory fair and square, in my opinion Cory doesn't have any excuses to make.
Cory didnt make none.

That is why I respect fighters like Spinks. Unfortunately you could tell in his eyes when Judah/Spinks/King was all standing around Don was talking about exploring other options for Zab and Cory knew he wouldnt get another chance....He was in tears, but totally understandable. Don King is a prick if he doesnt give Spinks another shot at Zab or another top 147 pounder at least.
Another thing I question and he is notorious for this is. How long will Zab stay focused? I say not long.Comment

Good point now that Zab is champion he has to try to stay focused to keep the title and Zab has trouble with that.Originally posted by spinksjinxAnother thing I question and he is notorious for this is. How long will Zab stay focused? I say not long.Comment

No way. Alot of fighters put on alot of weight like Zoo, Cotto, Gatti, Castillio and many more. I dont think he was slower, I think it just seemed that way because Judah picked up his pace alot and started from round 1. Spinks is fast but not Judah fastOriginally posted by kevvy1979Remember when they said they brought in the scales a couple hours before the fight, and Spinks was 163.Thats 15 or so pounds put on between the weigh in and the fight.Spinks seemed slower tonight then the previous encounter.I dont like Spinks, but he just did not seem to be as active as he was in the first fight. No jabs hardly, and movement seemed a bit slower. What do you guys think?Comment

Spinks would be destroyed if he moves up in wieght. He has lightweight power as it is. He should just focus more and stay at Welterweight. I'm sure he can still make some money at 147.
the only thing that effected Spinks last night was the punches of Judah and his own lack of pop.Comment
