Markus Beyer's fight with Sakio Bika ended in a technical draw

    Update........

WBC Supermiddleweight Champion, Markus Beyer's fight with Sakio Bika ended in a technical draw. Beyer had a big cut over his eye. There's already talk of a rematch.

Arthur Abraham defeated Kofi Jantuah via UD.....115-112, 116-111, 117-109
From what I've heard, Abraham looked tired early on.

In Canada, Challenger David Cadieux (11-1-0, 9 KOs) scored a seventh round knockout over Patrice L'Heureux (19-2-1 11 KOs) to seize the Canadian heavyweight title on Friday night in "The City of Energy" Shawinigan, Quebec. Cadieux dropped L'Heureux in rounds four, five, six and seven before the bout was halted 23 seconds into the seventh. (More to come)

In Argentina, Ukranian heavyweight prospect Taras *****ko stopped Fabio Moli by TKO in the sixth round.

does ne1 have a clue on what the first 4 rounds were like before the td stoppage? bika is quite a promising fighter, his only loss being a dec. against sam soliman earlier in his career.

Beyer won the first two rounds I think, Bika was inactive at first. But in the third he exploded and had Markus in trouble. In the fourth he continued to land but unfortunately there was a clash of heads: Beyer went to the hospital, the muuscle might be injured, too, and he needed some stiches.

i watched the fight live.......first two rounds were feeling out with beyer typically throwing 5 - 10 punches per round....Bika had a big round 3 and had beyer hurt...Round 4 saw Bika picking it up again and then the headbutt occurred (southpaw vs conventional)......

it was still funny though as the moment he got cut, he didn't want to continue at all, which is not typical of a world champion at all....but hey, this guy continues to defend against unknown unranked guys...

i think bika should be happy with the draw, because either way he would have lost, unless of course he would have KO'd Beyer....
