Actually Conor called Floyd out three separate times before Floyd mentioned him.

1) He called Floyd out in April of 2015 when he said he would "strangle" Floyd in 30 seconds

2) He called Floyd out on the Conon O'Brien show when he said he would "dismantle" Floyd if he were to box him.

3) He then called Floyd out again on twitter and IG after Floyd commented about the differences in how the two of the are perceived being racial.

Only then did Floyd leak a rumor that he was considering fighting McGregor

Hasn't the ufc and Connor been overly possessed with Floyd since the Ronald Rousey days? I think Connors unhealthy possession is just the fact that he's still nowhere in the league that Floyd is in his trapdoor sport. Financially or in terms of a legacy. Oh well, it's nice to see him keep boxing in the spotlight

The only thing that matters is Floyd is the one who started the rumor of a proposed fight, that call out stuff from Rousey and Conor was mainly idiot reporters trying to bring it up can you brat Floyd etc.


Mayweather would later confirm that he was the person who started those rumors.

"There was a name that was shot at me. But the rumors that y'all have been hearing [are] the rumors I started. It may not be a rumor. Keep your fingers crossed," Mayweather told Fighthype.com.
