That would make a TON if sense. And he can't wait on Saunders fighting someone else because he will probably lose to a nobody.

He says he doesn't want to fight anyone elite next fight. So he is saying no to Canelo. But I reckon $4 million from GBP will see him in the ring in May if GBP can "persuade" WBO to slot Canelo in at no.1 mandatory above Khurtzide.

Unfair on Khurtzide but then again boxing is a corrupt sport.

Doesn't matter, GGG v. DJ isn't till March, Nelo is defending 154 in Feb. Neither guy was looking to fight Saunders next. He can get another mando in without effecting anything.

Losing to Michael Bentt cost Morrison $6,000,000. I figure losing to CurbSidze will probably cost Saunders at least $3-4 million. And he deserves to.

Trouble is he's already said he's going to relax and enjoy Xmas as the world champ, so 4 weeks of partying and eating, he'll be right back close to 200 again, needing another 6 months of fat camp after that to get back to 160, where he will look terrible again.

He should set himself a challenge to send out a pic on 1 Jan showing what shape he is in, then at least he's got an incentive not to let it go again and might watch it a bit with the pints and kebabs. Else he'll end up looking like the Hatton who took on Senchenko pretty soon

And lest we forget, Saunders ducked Gabe Rosado on the basis that Rosado did nothing for his career.

Golden Boy offered him Curtis Stevens, Rosado, Willie Monroe on the Canelo undercard with Smith that pretty much set up a shot with Canelo. Rosado signed the contract, but BJS said 'nothing for my career'.

Cowboy stadium, 90,000 seater, PPV undercard with Canelo, date with Canelo the prize, but somehow that didn't cut it for his career, so he ends up at a leisure centre in Paisley fighting a Russian no-one had ever heard of.

Before Wade, BJS made clear that GGG would have to come to the UK and that he would have to meet certain conditions (like he's the A side). Then THE DAY that GGG announces the Wade fight as a done-deal, BJS twitterants that he would go to the US and beat GGG (what does he do ? watch the news then decide when its 'safe' to call people out).

Dan Rafael calls him on it (he's press, he's doing his job) and BJS goes on a twitterant saying what he would do sexually to Rafael's mother, calling him a pedo etc, but also a fat b'stard, which looks particularly ironic seeing how porky BJS got.
