  • Why does Wlad want to fight Joshua With No Tuneup

He should fight someone easy since he's out of the ring for a while, someone like Hammer, Glazkov, or Spzilika. Someone he should beat but should also challenge him

Seriously he's a fookin idiot, when was the last time he has fought BBC????

I wonder if Wlad will retire if he gets KTFO or retire if he wins taking a leaf out of Lennox's book

To juice and then ask for VADA testing?

Seems that when boxers get to a certain age, time and wear and tear become greater issues. If your joints and nagging injuries are getting to you, each tuneup is another camp that wears on your body more. Plus, burning another 6 months when you're already 40 doesn't help.
        That's my take.

IDK but he better at least have a hard sparring match with someone behind closed doors b/c he cannot afford to make one mistake against Joshua, which is important because Joshua is aggressive, he has the upper hand here by a big margin if Wlad is off by a lot. I think not having a fight tilts the edge to Joshua if it wasn't there already.

Wladimir Klitschko is 40 years old (will be 41 by the time the fight comes around); putting his body through a hard camp for a fight, before then putting himself through another hard camp for the Joshua fight will be doing himself no favors.

Klitschko's best tact, at this point, is to simply keep himself physically fit and then prepare for a hard, longer camp for Joshua come Spring 2017.

Wlad doesn't have a whole lot of miles left in his body. And to be honest, fighting a bum isn't going to provide him a whole lot before a scrap with AJ. Yeah, he's going to have ring rust but..he's been punched in the face for many, many years - he doesn't need to take a few more just to get used to it again.

An extra 3 or 4 months plus another training camp would be fine for a young buck - but at Wlad's age, and with that mileage, it's probably not worth it.

You dont need tuneups at that level.

This is gonna be one of those fights that's going to be completely on sided for whoever wins. Either Joshua knocks out old man Klitschko or Wladamir exposes hype job Joshua. Either way, a tune up for wlad will be of no use.
