Amen to that sir, Gassiev only good punch was the left to the liver but for the majority of the fight Lebedev was still landing his jab and comboing up with lovely shots this fight was a robbery how could you score it 116-111, 116-112 to Gassiev there is absolutely no way possible to have that scorecard!!

I think its incorrect to suggest Lebedev combos aren't as powerful as Gassiev one shots, look at who Lebedev has stopped compared to Gassiev.

I'd give the better punches landing to Lebedev who clearly was putting on a show making it apparent when he was landing he could tag Gassiev to the chops whenever he wanted he slopped down from a few body shots but still in the later sections of the fight he was still winning rounds he dominated the first part of the fight.
I stand by what I scored last night the judges scoring 116-111 and 116-112 could have only realistically had that for Lebedev If they were scoring without having a bribe in their back pocket.
I had 115-113 but If I rewatch it again I think my score might change to 115-112 because I believe I scored the first round wrong.

Gassiev did seem to abandon the jab and lose early rounds, after the liver shot he did chase Lebedev around a lot and did not cut off the ring and finish him like he should have. Lebedev survived this fight but he did not win it.

Had Gassiev, but was surprised by the punch-stats later. They say Gassiev out-landed Lebedev in 7 rounds.

I got the impression that Lebedev was landing for frequent, but less effective shots during the fight, with Gassiev the more powerful punches. If Gassiev did indeed outland Lebedev in 7 of the rounds, hard to argue it for Lebedev given Gassiev's punches were more effective (can't see an argument that Lebedev's were more effective given Gassievs punches seemed to trouble Lebedev for long stretches of the fight vs the other way around).

Could understand an argument for Lebedev if he out-landed Gassiev, which would then be volume of punches vs Gassiev's fewer but more powerful ones, but turns out Gassiev out-landed Lebedev in most rounds as well as having the stronger punches, plus the knockdown.

I watched the fight in Russian on YouTube. I didn't score it, but I thought Gassiev had a lot of success in a lot of rounds. Lebedev was backpedaling quite a bit. Gassiev was really beating the body with those chasing left hooks in the second half of the fight. That was a great fight to watch.
