Comments Thread For: Murat Gassiev-Denis Lebedev: Post-Fight Report Card

Denis Lebedev is a lot of things. He's a skilled professional. He's as tough as they come. Still fighting at a high level as he nears forty years old, his professionalism is evident in abundance.

Good fight by both fighters, Gassiev showed some serious power, and Lebedev some serious heart.

Gassiev's big chance that his age is young. He's only 23 so, he'll develop his weaknesses in the near future and fight against Glowacki, Huck, Briedis, Usyk, Dorticos etc... I believe Lebedev deserves the fight last night. Too much heart, too much skills, too much experience... Denis Lebedev still better than Murat Gassiev.

Not surprising to see Lebedev struggle against a guy under 40

Gassiev won and controlled most of the rounds with relentless pressure, a good jab, and a heavy left to the liver. After the fight Gassiev looked like he had been in a fight but Lebedev looked disfigured and very puffy around the eyes. Last time I saw him look that bad was when he fought Guillermo Jones.

No way gassiev won easy by 4,5 rounds that's insane was being outboxed easy until liver shot that slowed lebedev but their were plenty of rounds lebedev outboxed him and he is not a boxer. Very close fight I like a four punch combo vs one harder shot. That was pattern it should have been scored closer

Relentless pressure following lebedev not cutting off ring? Also lebedev out jabbed him. Liver shot was a game changer what else eating combos slow motion pressure? Usyk younger will show you how to outbox power punching zombie

Usyk was dropped with pillows by a much smaller guy than Murat
