Ideal scenario for Golovkin-Canelo in 2017?

Golovkin- Fight Jacobs early 2017, then maybe one of his mandatories, and Canelo in later 2017.

Canelo- Try to get Billy Joe Sanders early 2017, rematch Cotto on Cindo De Mayo, and meet GGG in September 2017.

What do you guys want to see from these guys next year if they meet up?

Doubt it happens, canelo has already been avoiding the fight for a year and something tells me he will keep coming up with reasons not to fight GGG.

At this point my ideal scenario is GGG vs Canelo happens at all in 2017.

I think Oscar dropped the ball at avoiding this fight in lieu of protecting his fighters record in what will be a challenging fight for him. I still say Canelo wins, but I don't think its an easy W or that Canelo doesn't come out of it looking worse then he's looked after any previous fight.

That fight is dead.

Its only dead if GGG takes a L. As long as GGG keeps winning Canelo & GBP are gonna look like p#ssies to many boxing fans. They will need to fight GGG to get that title lifted from them for that segment of fans & to get Canelo to the top where he can start getting peak Floyd & peak Manny PPV numbers.

fights not going to happen any time soon, if canelo wanted it the fight would have already happened. When it came down to it, he was more than happy to throw his belt away then have to fight golovkin

Golovkin played himself by not taking the money

Alvarez fights again early 2017, fights Billy Joe Saunders May 2017 [PPV], and then goes with the Cotto rematch September 2017 [PPV].

In case folks want to keep ignoring reality, but the WBA has already set their final deadline for this coming Wednesday, with the purse bid likely due by December 20th; with the fight on the open market (with both US broadcasters, and arguably both UK broadcasters, interested in the fight), things are going to get really interesting just before Christmas.
