disagree, bellews not much good but its realistically the biggest money fight out there for haye at the moment. People are saying its a **** match up, joke that its on ppv (which is true), but people will inevitably get drawn into the hype and the trash talk so the ppv wil probably do decent figures. Far better money for haye than fighting a pulev, a povetkin or someone like that. Joshuas obviously the biggest money match up but hes tied up with molina and this fight will probably lead on to it, the hearn v haye thing (whilst funny) was obviously staged so the angle for the joshua v haye fight will be, 'can haye destroy hearns cash cow'.

I'm just going to enjoy the trash talk and atmosphere but the sky hype machine in full effect isn't going to sway me.

In Bellew we are talking about a guy who went toe to toe for 12 with guys like Nathan cleverly and got brutally ktfo by adonis Stevenson.

Put it this way who would you pick in a match between Stevenson and Haye?

Then who would you pick from bellew v chisora?

This is a mismatch of epic proportions

He's definitely not broke but one thing about using your own production company is that each fight is a financial risk. You have to pay all the upfront costs including the undercard fighters etc before you make any money, so it requires a big capital investment. No one wants to risk their own money unless you are actually loaded the way proper promoters are. He probably has most of his capital tied up in real estate or whatever like most people do.

The upside is that you get to keep all the earnings.

yeah, not buying it that hes suddenly turned into some great cruiserweight either, just what he was at light heavyweight but with some added fat. Would get annihilated by one of the top guys. Is a solid B level fighter who is hittable. Wouldnt be shocked if this ended in one round cause if you are hittable and you are in with a heavyweight, and a powerful heayweight at that, you are in trouble.

Haye spends most of the year going between different Caribbean islands, does a LOT of traveling, has made large donations, etc...this 'broke' rumour is pretty much because he sold his gym, which was because he no longer uses or trains out of it.

David Haye is far from broke.

He might well be broke, but for someone like haye that's a better motivation than titles or plaudits. He will train even harder every day to regain the money he has blown. He knows that if he keeps winning the millions will follow. Call haye what you want but he's not ****** and he's very talented.

Those London fights against DeMori and the Swiss Arnold Schwarzenegger earnt a million a show.

The guy is comfortable, last I heard he was going through divorce and those fights were after his divorce filings.

Bellew is the one cashing out, he knows he has his mandatory next and this is his chance to earn a ppv before he loses his belt in the ring against more technically sound fighters. Dude could have unified yet here he is facing a semi retired heavyweight we all know is going to knock him out in a round, his trainer will throw in the towel to save his ass like Ingle did to save Brook if his ass is still standing after the first right hand, the barrage Haye will hit him with he'll look like the snot nosed 2010 Audley Harrison begging for referee intervention.

The British casuals willing to snap this up are a cancer to competitive fight action, instead we could have had a Bellew cruiser unification and Haye against the Ruiz/Parker winner then the eventual winner versus Klitschko/Joshua winner, instead we get these absolute mismatches nobody knows how they are sanctioned after the Gutknecht Groves and Blackwall and Eubanks affairs, in the mean time we get another meaningless one between Allen and Ortiz too where Allen will be hospitalised and never fight again just so Hearn can build a product.
