He does have horrible technique, but this injury maybe a blessing in disguise as he is going to have to work on a lot to get back, he won't be the same. I'll wait to see what he has worked on and how this injury has affected him when he gets back in the ring before I make a call. Right now all he has is time, so he can work on a lot

      As if you know.

Beterbiev and many others suffer injuries not associated with "horrible technique".

You can sit on your sofa and hope he won't be the same.

Judging by who started this thread we can count on Deontay Wilder becoming the greatest of all time I reckon~

He broke his hand because he generates so much force, proper punching technique is all about the maximization of force so proper technique that makes him punch harder helps him save his hands how? He may need to be more accurate but a dude can have awesome technique and piss poor punch accuracy.

The bicep is not used in punching so his arm looking small means nothing since arm size is generally about bicep which is a useless boxing muscle. If it was triceps, pectoral, shoulder, back or even a leg injury I would be more concerned.

Hopefully he spent the time working on his left hand which was already decent. His jab has been solid for a while and his left hook has always been powerful, if he figures out how to use it better that can help him round out his offense further.

I am unconcerned currently, but will see in an actual fight.

I've gotta be honest, I don't see why people believe Wilder could beat any of the real top guys in the division, and by that I mean Fury, Klitschko & Joshua - possibly Povetkin (shame that fight never panned out).

I mean obviously he could as he can punch, but is it likely? Not in my opinion. He can't hold a shot as well as he should be able to for the level he's at, he's now got plate(s) in his right hand and bicep injuries from previous fights, and he's been heavily rocked and down from some very mediocre heavyweights, like, club level fighters. He's also struggled with some, let's face it, fringe world level heavyweights since he won the belt.

In my opinion Joshua & Klitschko both ice him, Fury beats him too, depending on how he decides to fight by KO or points.

Fighters suffer injuries all the time.
I guess all fighters have fragile bones.

Many of the fighters you like get hurt.

Here we go again. As Deontay's next fight approaches, all the critics will come out of the woodwork.

                  "He skinny!"

                  "No technique!"

                  "Chicken legs!"

                  "Glass jaw!"

Then Deontay will knock the crap out of the dude.

He can carry two healthy arms with a brass knuckle and he still sucks.

Deonte Wilder is not a good fighter.
