Haven't seen it yet, but reading this thread after another fight recap is very interesting. The review said that Lebedev badly gassed after 6th and couldn't land anything besides the jabs Roach said to throw. Now in this thread most are saying he got robbed.. Can't wait to watch this later.

Looks like the judges forgot to add in the bonus points Lebedev is supposed to get for being champion

Tough fight, I had it 7-5 for Lebedev (114-113 w/ the KD) but a bunch of those rounds were close.

The worst robbery I've every seen is Chudinov - Sturm II. It was in this February. Actually it wasn't a robbery, it was an organized crime.

Yeah every time a decision goes against their favourite in the fight, or against how they scored it, it is always a robbery.

Yeah Gassiev would only have slightly more than a punchers chance against Usyk.

I had it 8-4, 115-112 for Lebedev, he clearly won the fight

Yeah I thought he edged it but he could and should have been more dominant with the advantages he had in the fight, he really needs to learn to cut off the ring and move his head. He has a great chin but it's not an excuse to be so easy to hit. A lot of the time he waits too long to get his shots off, that was probably the most frustrating thing about him tonight.

I'm not interested in a fight between him and Usyk yet, he's tailor made for him at the moment.

He speaks Russian with less accent than many Russians and can't speak Ukrainian at all. So..

Joseph Pasquale 112-116, Steve Weisfeld 113-114 for Gassiev...

Both judges are from the U.S.

"Russians" or "Eastern Europeans" are the common names for the post-Soviet countries.

Good fight. Gassiev has a lot to work on but some good tools and will be a fun fighter.
