And this is why I want Usyk vs Gassiev next on March 18th as Co Main Event of GGG vs Jacobs.

Lebedev looked good early, but Gassiev batted him around the ring throughout the middle rounds, and Lebedev was clearly troubled with anything that connected on his right side after the knockdown. Lebedev finished the stronger without a doubt, Gassiev was gassed in the last three rounds.

Didn't know what to do with the 10th round as Lebedev clearly rocked him but Gassiev came back at the end of the round with some hellacious connects.

Before the scores were read, felt it would be 1 point either way, with Gassiev's middle rounds probably taking it. The 2 scores for Gassiev were wider than expected though, but hard to argue with the result.

Lebedev is one tough dude for coming back and dominating in the last two rounds after what he took during those middle rounds. Didn't look like he was going to make it for a while.

I had Gassiev 114-113 but I thought the 116-111 and 116-112 scores in his favour were way too wide, well good to see the robbery cries are consistent at least loool.

Gassiev dominated in my opinion. Levedev landed alot of nice looking punches but with no effect at all. This is not amateur boxing where you pile up points for each punch.

Gassiev dominated 100% all the rounds after the body punch K.D. He was hurting Lebedev every round and I was getting the feeling he was holding back, but in the last round he looked a little gassed even though he also won that round. Lebedev showed incredible heart and will....it was amazing to observe a guy fighting for his life literally and holding his own in several blitzes. It sets Walters quitting last week into perspective.

This fight and the whole under card just finally convinced me that the easter european are taking over boxing. Before it was the mexicans who were the tough guys, anowadays it's the eastern Europeans. Just look at Canelo the diva.

What amazes me is that every fight on that card was competetive and with boxers who could punch. I think this is one of the best cards I've ever seen since I started following boxing close in 1994. The eastern Europeans just mean business and it's clear that the whole culture is "who is the strongest - who is the leader of the tribe" search and destroy style. Even when it's technical wizards like Lomachenchko. They just seem tougher than most of the world.

It seems alot of boxers aren't ready for that pressure. Look at GGG, Beterbiev, Gassiev, Loma and many more today.

Yeah, and if Lebedev didn't have a right arm/elbow to block them they would have landed. Maybe!

Even those right hands, they landed on Lebedevs glove most of the time.
