Stance is too wide, chins about 3ft too high, drops his hands in range, pulls back in straight lines yada yada yada this guy doesn't even have great boxing by MMA standards and if it is then it shows you how much this niche sport has truly evolved then doesn't it?
He wouldn't come close to even being competitive with any semi decent pro or amateur, period.
Don't get me wrong I quite like the guy & actually was a fan before all this hype but it annoys me hearing him alongside these boxers when the reality is its the same thing same backdoor exit & left cross counter against lunging, roided up wrestlers whose 'striking' is truthfully barely half a level above a bum on the Streets. Not a single guy outside of Nick Diaz has had an absolute ****ing clue how to fight a southpaw.
All they do is rush forward and throw an overhand right with zero set up, its literally something off the Street.
This guys not even a puncher he's just fighting guys that are so inexperienced and technically lacking that they're constantly getting caught from angles they don't see coming. He'd never in a million years hit a half decent boxer with that.
They're adding to the impact too, doubling it by running face first into the punch.
If he does ever fight in boxing he doesn't win 1 round.
Frankie Edgar is pretty nice with the hands, imo. He may know a lil bit
