  • Most people here really DKSAB

Reading those Paulie vs Conor threads prove it. Paulie would stop this guy. Boxing is 3 minutes of constant moving with your hands up at all times for 12 rds with 8oz gloves, not 4oz. Conor wouldn't be able to last that long.

And other than the stamina issue there's the skill issue. I don't think most of you understand what you're watching. Boxing isn't just throwing punches and trying to land the hardest punch. You have to set traps. Every punch isn't thrown with the intention to hurt or even land. Paulie's boxing IQ is light years ahead of Conors. Connor would need an absolutely lucky perfect punch to beat Paulie and Paulie is to smart to allow that to happen and Conor isn't smart enough to set him up for it to happen. There are levels to this.

Paulie made a great point today about stamina. It brings out the coward in men. In the first Diaz fight when Conor was fatigued he gave up and tapped out.

I'm sorry but if you think Conor could beat Paulie YDKSAB!!!

Of course people here don't know boxing. Many of these guys have never even hit a heavybag. I'm sure of it.

These are the same guys who think Canelo was green at 23 but Walters is prime at 30. since when is a fighter closer to his prime at 30 than he is at 23?

I've always seen people refer to late 20s/early 30s as a fighter's prime and tend to agree.

That would match your prime for just about everything else. The human brain/body doesn't fully develop until the second half of your twenties, not to mention boxers are usually pretty low on championship level experience before that age (for good reason).

Then you have a window of several years before you start to slow back down.

28, 29, 30 are about the bullseye where mental, physical development and experience all align.

Those are boxing biases. We all have them and I expect that. But what i don't expect is hardcore boxing fans thinks an MMA fighter can beat or even be competitive with a world class boxer, former champion. Conor couldn't even beat Kendall Holt right now

Athletic prime and developmental prime are two different things. Testosterone levels peak at 25 and slowly drop after that age and drastically decline after 30 in men. Notice how Tyson was better at 22 than he was at 29? Same with Ali, Leonard, and De La Hoya. All better in their early 20s than in their late 20s.

Since Pacquiao had his "new prime" at 30 and suddenly started blasting through bigger men uneducated boxing fans began to think that was normal when it really isn't normal at all.

I miss the old days here and at ******** boxing. There used to be some true boxing heads on here 10 years ago but they dissappeared and that is the same reason why i stopped being active on the forums.

Today the quality of topics has turned into sht and overall discussions are fkin boring. There are too many little kids around here who probably just graduated from the WWE faze.

It is true, most posters here dont know sht about boxing, none.

Sure we have biases. But these guys are allowing their bias to interfere with their logic.

If the fight happens it's going to be on Conor's terms. Which means less rounds(probably 4 to 6) and smaller glove sizes (8 oz.).

Neither of those two scenario's would help benefit Paulie. Paulie's only shot here is to drag McGregor deep and hope he gasses out.
