The PERFECT Boxing Opponent for McGregor

    Oscar de la Hoya

Guaranteed high PPV numbers because Oscar is still a star. He never left the boxing limelight because of his promotion activities.

Oscar would be effectively giving Conor McGregor a required handicap match due to the age factor and inactivity on Oscar's part. This would even up McGregor's lack of pro boxing experience.

Both fighters could easily weigh 150 lbs. to 165 lbs. making weight negotiations a lot easier.

2 million PPV is easy for this fight.

Modified boxing rules: Five 5 minute rounds but with standard boxing rules.

ODLH walks out of a coffin and stops this dude early.

Less than a punchers chance, literally zero chance for him.

And red K for making a thread about an mma fighter and bringing the loser fans that embrace that sport into the sancturary that is NSB, idgaf if he got a license.

You get credit for thinking out of the box, but it never happens....

      And if it did,

Oscar needs two minute rounds not five minute rounds.... Connor has his own stamina issues...

Most of the potential PPV buys would be from the MMA crowd, their guy is in his prime... Not too many boxing fans want to see Oscar in there at his age and inactivity level....

Concessions would have to be made to the MMA audience that simply would not allow for Oscar to have a chance... Connor can't win beyond a punchers chance and Dana White couldn't risk his top dog getting embarrassed...

      At the very least,
Dana White would insist on having 4 ounce gloves likely allowing kicks or at least knees... Could you imagine Oscar, or any other pure boxer for that matter, in a Muay Thai clinch with Conor McGregor ??? Not pretty...

De La Hoya knocks him out in a boxing match even if he was 60

Which boxing promotion McGregor going to? Roc Nation or Golden Boy?

If RN put him on the undercard to Cotto vs Bradley

If GBP put him in the Canelo vs BJS undercard

              Oscar would beat dude's ass

Honestly don't give Oscar any ideas... He already saw how big a floyd-conor fight would be, now he is trying to throw out a canelo-conor fight...

Those fights may be laughed at, but an old retired Oscar vs conor would do just as big of Busines

McGregor would take a pounding, no two ways about it.

The perfect opponent for him can probably be found down at a gym near you - McG ain't a boxer.
