I haven't seen any footage, but by his own admission, he was quite wild and a lot less refined than he is now.

His standout win as an amateur is over Andrade, who he also lost to 3 times, he's also got wins over Stretskyy, Hatley and Dolton. He was usually #2 at 152 with Andrade #1, on the US scene.

He was a solid amateur but didn't go to as many go to as many international tournaments as some of the other US guys.
