    Lebedev/Gassiev - Shafikov/Commey Thread

Some good fights coming up this weekend.

    Denis Shafikov Vs Richard Commey

Shafikov will face Commey on friday. Shafikov is coming off a good knockout win against olympic boxer Herring. Although he lost his 2 bids for a world title, I dont think he will lose against Commey.

Commey had a good outing against Easter Jr., but his defense is pretty leaky, has the tendency to get pushed against the ropes and his offense is pretty wild. Shafikov has decent head movement and until now only struggles against boxers with good foot movement who know how to use their reach.

    Denis Lebedev Vs Murat Gassiev

Cant really make a prediction yet. Gassiev looked good against limited opposition, but there are many questions still not answered. Right now, I think Lebedev is too big of a step up for Gassiev, but I have to watch his recent fights.

    Also fighting:
    Rakhim Chakhkiev Vs Maxim Vlasov

Vlasov is the betting underdog, but he had close fights against Gilberto and Chilemba. If he weathers the storm and waits for Chakhkiev to gas out as usual, there is a possibility to see chakhkiev knock out again.

I love Shafikov's aggression and bet him as a -160 favorite, especially at home in Russia, while I took advantage of the peak of the odds and bet Gassiev as a +170 underdog due to his size and power against Lebedev.

shafikov vs commey is going to be a great fight.. Commey is a rugged customer and doesn't mess around.. his fight earlier this year vs easter jr was a slobberknocker

Kinda B.S. how Commey has to re-earn a title shot against Easter by having to go through a dangerous Shafikov. He should have gotten an immediate rematch

if commey learns some proper foot movement he would be a nightmare to fight against
