Exactly, those running the brand would want a huge cut of the money, directly into their pockets.

I doubt it will ever happen, but i think it does generate insane amounts of money to the point where all those involved could be satisfied. It would outsell a Floyd v Manny rematch, quite easily.

Besides, would UFC take a huge hit if Conor lost? He would be a huge underdog anyway and it's not like McGregor is an undefeated fighter and marketed as unbeatable. It's 2 biggest crossover stars McGregor and Rousey both lost within months of each other and UFC was ok, so i doubt Conor losing a boxing match would be a problem.

Essentially it would all come down to money and if everyone earns what they want from it.

    It's very unlikely though really.

If this fight happens its straight garbage - in a boxing fight floyd just beats the crap out of him. In an MMA fight floyd gets destroyed. Plain and simple no need to make this happen.

I still believe McGregor would shock the world and pull out the upset KO here if this fight ever happens. Just a deep, intuitive feeling I have that won't leave me. You mouthbreathers can call me dumb or delusional if you want, I don't give a ****. The man was put on this earth to be a fighter and to make history. He's done plenty of that already, knocking out Mayweather would just be the icing on the cake. If it is destined to happen, then it is destined to happen.

Are we talking boxing or MMA? If its boxing why are we even talking about it? If its MMA I can ask the exact same question....

Please stop being delusional. In a boxing match a elite boxer beats a elite mma fighter 95% of the time in a mma match a elite mma fighter beats a boxer 90% of the time boxer has punchers chance.

MMA fighters know how to punch, they dont know how to "box" in an actual boxing match.

its not the same thing. Its like saying a guy who can throw a 95 MPH baseball knows how to "pitch".

Mayweather? McGregor would get steamrolled by Errol Spence in short order. Dana White knows this hence the unwillingness to let his cash cow irishman get humiliated. Nate Diaz had him in trouble from stand-up striking in both of their matches. End of story.
