Yeah, those guys were the biggest stars of their respective eras, Rousey being the second biggest star behind Conor in the current one. I'm obviously referring to modern-day UFC when talking about no one touching McGregor's numbers. Rousey is the only one who comes close and as I already pointed out myself, even she was only ever to exceed a million buys on one occasion (although I expect her comeback at 207 to accomplish that as well.)

The original argument was that the stacked undercards have a lot to do with Conor's PPV buys being so high, which I still don't completely buy. At least 98% of guys on any given undercard have never and probably will never headline a PPV of their own.

A lot of the people on Conor's undercards have huge followings of their own. Miesha Tate, Holly Holm, and Cowboy Cerrone are a few examples. Nate Diaz and Jose Aldo also have pretty big fanbases.

If you really want to measure Conor's drawing power have him fight a nobody with no big names on the undercard and then see how well it sells.

No one has ever done over 2 million buys without the name Mayweather on the card. To say Conor is A BIGGER DRAW IS LAUGHABLE. Conor would be a nobody without the push from the UFC.

The guy is a star and entertaining but lets not act lie the UFC isn't building him up.

They are all big stars unlil they take a few L's, then the money stops coming in, hopefullyconor is smart enough to realize this.

Honestly, if Floyd were to fight this clown, it would obviously be for the money, but a joke of a fight and imo would damage his legacy as an ATG. Maybe it's fun to talk about, thats about it.

Nate Diaz actually has a huge following in MMA. Both the Diaz brothers do. also Also is a huge star in MMA. So to say Conor has done 1.5 million buys without a huge star on the card shows your ignorance of the sport. Conor also has had the benefit of having big names in the MMA world on his undercards which boosted his sales significantly.

LOL you clearly didn't follow MMA closely until Conor came onto the scene. The Diaz brothers are big amongst the hardcore MMA crowd. And NO Conor does not draw alone.

Having followings doesn't mean those people will actually pay to see you. How many PPV's have those people headlined as opposed to just a Fight Night card? Conor nowadays could easily draw over a million in your scenario, I'm sure.

Nate Diaz has had the highest rating on UFC Fight Night and has had the most fight night bonuses of any ufc fighter. That can translate into higher pay per views. It's not like Conor was selling a million pay per view buys right when he joined the UFC either.

LOL I've been a hardcore MMA fan for over 15 years now and a casual since the 90's.

Nate was underground popular but he wasn't popular with the casuals who are 90% of the drawing power. Conor made him a draw on 10 days notice.
