Fake news. Conor said he was NEVER going to fight again in Neveda after that gigantic fine from bottle throwing incidentComment

I wouldn't say Conor made himself. He had a serous push from the UFC. The UFC is his promoter. Conor likely wouldn't be nearly as big if he was fighting in Pride or Bellator. And Conor's PPV numbers benefit from the fact that all his fights have a stacked undercard. The last fight he took without a stacked undercard was the Mendes fight which did around 800 thousand PPVs.I agree with that not being realistic; however it's not really fair to compare UFC guaranteed purses to boxing.
Connor is the first of his kind to come along in UFC... Unless he really goes on a bad losing streak and becomes irrelevant (which is a lot more prone to happen IN MMA than boxing), he'll likely end up outselling Mayweather in total PPV buys.
He's really making closer to 20 million a fight after his percentages are calculated... And look - it took Floyd HOW LONG before he was getting 20 million a fight? As far as I know, before he fought Oscar, his biggest purse was like 3-5 million against Judah?
Connor MADE HIS OWN STAR - Floyd had to have "the torch passed to him" from Oscar De La Hoya. And it took Floyd what? 10 years of headlining fights before he got to that level? Again, before DLH, his highest-selling fight was like 250k against Judah
Jesus, if Conor just keeps winning, say 2 out of 3 fights a year, for the next few years, he'll be making 50-80 million a fight, if the UFC wants to keep him around that is...
Anyway - I think what would be more fair, and realistic is to have Floyd and Conor fight where elbows, knees, and are allowed and limited clinching... Of course Floyd wins in a boxing-rules only match, and Conor wins in a real MMA fight.
Floyd is his own promoter. Top Rank wasn't promoting the way he wanted to be promoted which was why he left. Imagine if Floyd left top Rank earlier, he would have been a superstar likely earlier in his career.Comment

Undercards have a lot to do with buyrates. Woodley vs Wonderboy was a fight that could have headlined a PPV on its own because the hardcore fans wanted to see it. Also Holm vs Tate was a huge fight because Holly had just defeated Ronda Rousey. Let Conor fight with a bunch of nobodies on his undercard and I doubt his PPVs do as well.Comment

OMG, are you like that dumb in person? I was thinking maybe it was an act...and you actually expect people to believe your bs on here? You're a pro athlete that happens to spend all his time on a boxing forum...dumbest mother****er I've never seen.Comment
