There really is no reason for Cotto to fight on, we all saw the middleweight 'run' for what it was, a win over an injured shot Martinez, and a knockout win over serial quitter Daniel Geale who was drained down like a sultana. Canelo showed where he really is at the moment and that is done. Props for a great career but, he's done.

Yea...this is a more dangerous fight than it should be for Cotto because of where he is in his career.

Kirkland isn't a HUGE name but i'd consider it a good win because he's a dangerous fighter and has heart, Cotto needs to box well and stay on his toes because Kirkland could knock him down in he hangs around too long inside without throwing.
