Former four division world champion Miguel Angel Cotto has been informed of his return date by promoters Roc Nation Sports. Cotto will hold at least two fights in 2017, and one of them could be a potential rematch with WBO 154-pound world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Really? This fight is useless! WTF is Cotto doing? He just needs to retire!

Fight GGG at Madison Square Garden, get KTFO and Payed, then finally retire.

Glad to have Cotto back but **** a kirkland fight..

Cotto should just offer Maidana a few mil to comeback and fight.. I would be more interested in that.. Have kirkland-angulo 2 on the undercard.. Winner gets cotto next

I would be down for that

Neither has fought since their Canelo fights, lol. I guess it's only natural they meet up.

Kirkland is pure genius. Take 2 years off after a soul crushing loss and then hop into another dangerous fight with no tune up. Brilliant.

Kirkland has no chance, but I'll rooting for him to KO Cotto into retirement.

Kirkland can't afford to reject a fight against Cotto. No one is going to invest money on a nutcase like him and give him time to rebuild his career. His best days are behind him, he needs to make money while he still can.

He's a genius indeed (without irony). Canelo and Cotto back-to-back without having done anything to deserve it.
