Why did Gamboa did so much better than Loma vs Salido?

I think that excuse that Loma didn't have many fights is very weak. In just his next fight, he dismantled Garry Russell Jr. You don't get that much better in just 4 months.

My personal take is that Salido has a chin and was punching with Loma. So Loma couldn't pick him apart. That and Salido being big and possibly on steroids.

WSB is no difference that your early pro fights.

Pro boxers start to fight 4 rounds the 6, 8, 10 before taking 12.

So the equivalent and experience is the same. WSB is all pro rules just 5 rounds and many time a lot better competition that some of this pro day-view fighters.

Exactly, Loma fought Selimov in a five round professional fight, that's the best fighter he's fought both in the amateurs and in the pros.

We;re comparing Lomachenko, who is very good and very skilled but was only in his second pro fight to a guy who was in his 18th pro fight and had even better natural gifts of hand and foot.

It's sad that Gamboa is where he is right now and it can all be traced to him leaving TR in the build up to the Rios fight. That bout would have made him into a genuine star yet he chose to go with 50 cent or Jay Z or whoever it was.

Please, don't remind me. I followed Gamboa since the Olympics, as I have Lomachenko. The way Yuri's career collapsed was a monumental letdown to say the least. Who knows where his career might've gone, but I do believe boxing fans missed out on some spectacular action. Gamboa was a rare talent, electrifying. I always thought Rigo was the better talent, but there is no comparison whatsoever in terms of entertainment value.
