Gamboa is extremely agressive and has absolute dynamite in his hands. Stylistically he was a better matchup against Salido. Loma is more of a pure boxer who never had that kind of will and pressure on him. Look at it as to how Shane beat the dog s hit out of Margarito after Marg sonned Cotto. Styles make fights and it's going to take a guy with an iron will (and some skill) to beat Loma again. A guy who isn't impressed or discouraged by the speed. Salido just went in there like he was the boss and Loma gave him nothing he hadn't overcome before... Without serious power it's always tough to keep guys like Salido off you because they find a way to get in that ass at all costs.

Gamboa is meaner, he wasn't afraid of bully salido or going dirty with him, being too game played against Lomachenko.
Gamboa also fought in and out with punches with speed and power, Loma tried to be a boxer just too much.

Gamboa is one of the most talented fighters I've ever seen. His career has been a waste. Dude should have been a legendary super bantam or featherweight. It's a shame.

Gamboa is faster and was at his prime weight he didn't fall for Salido's b/s Lomachenko had far less pro experience so he did fall for it and paid for it. Lomachenko is more precise and better technically he could have used that to do just as well but he fell for the dirty **** and didn't know wtf to do.

When he turned pro I remember telling everybody that he would be P4P #1 someday. Shame his business acumen doesn't match his boxing ability

I hope he can get active again and face Loma before he retires

It was Lomachenko's second pro fight.

He had never gone more than 4 rounds prior to that fight, he was afraid to gas out.

The fight was at 126 and salido didn't make weight, next day he weighed in at 147 while loma was 132 pounds.

Salido was desperat to not loose against a guy with his second pro fight.
Therefore extra lowblows and dirty tactics, still loma had salido holding on for his life in the 12.

Loma will crush salido in his 9 pro fight while Gamboa could not do it in his 18 pro fight.
Loma beats Gamboa also, it will be like the gary russel fight but Gambia will be stopped.

actually you are wrong. His first pro fight was at featherweight, then his next two were at LIGHTWEIGHT before fighting at super featherweight in his 4th pro fight. Go ahead and look it up. He then bounced back and forth between featherweight and super featherweight before getting his title shot. He never fought at 122 so yes he is the same sizee as Loma who walks around at 139-140 between fights

                      Several reasons:

                      1) Salido is on a PED cycle now.

                      2) Loma was totally unprepared for the pro game at that level in his 2nd fight.

                      3) Styles make fights.

That said, Loma almost knocked out Solido at the end and would obliterate him in a rematch.
Take it to the bank if it happens.
