if they dont make the undercards as good as the 80s or 90s, you're wasting our time and money and it reflects

I remember the loaded cards of the past and they were worth every penny. now we practically pay for 1 fight, 5+ mismatchs and pray the main event isnt a dud

Stars have always been created on network television for the world to see whether ABC, ESPN, NBC, FSN, ETC.
But then I couldn't see the ring girls, doe.

I think PPV is a misunderstood business model.

A fight goes to PPV when there is not enough money from the networks to cover the purse demands. The revenue from the PPV buys is used to cover it.

If the networks don't shell over enough money to pay the purses, PPVs will continue to be put on.

The only way the network television model will work is 1. If PBC or some other promotional company lands a multi-million dollar deal or 2. Fighters take pay cuts.

Without those 2 events happening, we will get more and more PPVs.

I don't like PFV fights and I never buy them. I watch them for free the following weekend on HBO or Showtime that I already pay for. I love boxing but not enough to pay $50 or more just to watch a fight live when I can see the same fight for free in a week. Many times the PFV fights end up not being very good fights to watch. Some boxers think they are bigger stars than they really are. They demand more money than anyone can pay them and still make a profit. Broner and Garcia are two boxers who often demand more money than they are worth.

Even boxing fans are in denial, some of us still think that it is as simple as making bigger fights, well Ward vs Kovalev was a big fight and that still flopped so it is more than just "MAKING BIG MATCH UPS"

Besides maybe Canelo, no I don't see any other PPV Stars in boxing being developed in this ERA

Big Matches to us who are boxing fans, are not big matches to Casuals so the question becomes, how can boxing grab the attention of Casuals again without Mayweather and Pacquiao being involved

if Broner was more disciplined he would've been the next PPV star. but unlike Floyd, his antics are not just for the cameras, he's really like that..that's why he turned out to be a dissapointment. casual fans love **** talkers. .i guarantee a Pacquiao/Broner PPV would do better numbers than Ward/Kovalev and Pac/Vargas. .because Broner is that guy people love to hate. but his talent is not even improving, he's pretty much set where he is. .Ward/Kovalev highlights didn't even make it to worldstar smh.
