Example of being "slick" but still fighting like a madman

Younger posters seem to use the word 'slick' a lot and think it equals boring..

Watch these highlights of a classic fight, and see a great slick fighter that will still fight like a dog in there..

This guy was one of a kind...

    Enjoy

Slick and very entertaining. I think Calzaghe falls into this category as well. I'd say 40% slick and 60% madman. Haha.

Yeah,,,, defensive but aggressive... Pernell was the king of that, though he could get alitle too aggressive and get sloppy and tagged... That happened on numerous occasions..

James toney is another one that was very slick but loved to stand and trade

You don't see many southpaws with as good of a right hook anymore, it's his ability to operate in the pocket I admired most because it leaves no room for excuses, you couldn't cut him off and then you had a serious mess to deal with up close. My sig says it all

Well he was often criticized for his output...that's not to say he wasn't a bad ass but its a little mis leading lol. A lot of the slick guys have some dog in them. James Toney was fairly agressive and Calzaghe is good shoutout too. Whitaker was indeed one of a kind though.

I would have loved to seen pernell and Meldrick tangle in the late 80s. That fight would have been so fast it would have been a blur for 12 rds

I'm still pissed they robbed Whitaker blind against Ramirez and Chavez. He schooled those two, especially Ramirez. But I'm glad he got revenge against Ramirez.
