Canelo/Cotto did well because both were established PPV stars. g string can't say that. Add in that the boxing PPV consumers are still suffering from a Floyd/Pac hang over. The number from Ward/Kov tell you this. g string just doesn't bring enough to the table to make Canelo/g string worth more that 650k buys and likely won't happen at all unless team g string has a sudden change of heart and accepts the 10 million dollar offer.

At the time of Canelo/Cotto, Cotto had already main evented many successful PPVs and heavily anticipated HBO fights and they did 900k PPV sales.
