David Haye

If his previous history of pulling out of fights with Fury twice and Charr plus Toegate wasn't bad enough, 2016 was a new low. After a 'long awaited' return to boxing promising to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world* (bearing in mind this is after saying this is the best the heavyweight division has been in a long time and claiming doctors told him he could never fight again*), he fights on the same night as Wilder V Spzilka. Naturally you'd assume this would go a long way to build up a potential fight with Wilder in 2016. Instead, his opponent is Mark di Mori, a man who admitted to learning boxing off YouTube. So poor is the opponent that Haye is relegated to UK channel Dave, notorious for its consistent reruns of Top Gear and Mock the Week.

Phase 1 ends with a first round KO. Then Haye claims to want a summer fight for the heavyweight title against Anthony Joshua*. That doesn't materialise as Haye instead opts to fight boxing great Arnold Gjergjaj in another epic mismatch. This fight was also demoted to Dave and ended in 4 rounds.

Phase 2 also ends in a KO. Then he promises to 'smash' Shannon Briggs after being courted and harassed for months by a 44 year old. He told Briggs to win a fight on his undercard against Zarate, which Briggs won by KO1, in order to win a fight with him in September.

September comes and nothing. October passes by too and it becomes apparent Haye is ducking a 44 year old. Late November, it's confirmed that David Haye, heavyweight saviour and boxing pariah, will fight on March the 4th 2017 against.... a ****ING CRUISERWEIGHT in Tony 'it's a fookin real life Rocky movee' Bellew. Yep, Bellew being a fat bastard as he already is will practically be morbidly obese come March but who gives a fuck because it fits Haye's M.O. This is after saying he would NEVER fight Bellew because it would be utterly one sided.
