Love to see him play the Son of Ivan Drago. Adonis Greed vs. Dragon Jr would be a great fight.
Kovalev needs to be the main villain in Creed 2

The whole Wheeler thing could make for a good sequel.
Could always bust out the son of Clubber Lang also, since Lang always resented Apollo and obviously would have been none to pleased about Apollo training Rocky up to take his newly won title. Could also go into Clubber's life getting totally ****ed by that moment.
It would put a whole new spin on how Rocky III played out and what went down after that fight.Comment

...pretty sure that you likely didn't see the first movie, so yeah
Creed vs Wheeler, in a Battle of Los Angeles (LA Forum or at Staples Center), is the only arc that would make sense and carry over from the first film; Conlan was heading to jail, the division was being thrown into flux, Wheeler (Ward's character) was arguably the best fighter still in the division, and Creed's fight against Conlan gave the chance that he may actually end up being really good.
Wheeler being coached by the son of Apollo Creed's coach, Creed being coached by Rocky Balboa, Rocky ailing (like Mickey was before the Clubber Lang fight), and both fighters battling for serious bragging rights, and you've got a movie that's far more interesting than the simple cold war bull**** that you could put forward with simply redoing the Drago story (in a world where the USSR is no longer a thing to fight against).Comment

That's a pretty good idea, actually. Creed would of course win, but ol' junior would lay a beating on him. I don't know if I'd have him be Junior, but have Drago in his corner instead. And not have him be such a propaganda cartoon like Drago was.Comment

Kovalev either should beat Wheeler in a close fight, or a late TKO, so that the him being the Monster King in the light heavyweight division would be established. I don't think Kovalev makes a great talkative Villain, because whenever he opens his mouth it makes me laugh.
Remember "**** you, you bag with a shi1t!" Does that sound like a good villain to you?Comment
