I respect everyone's right to support whoever they want.
I know that many fans aren't particularly well educated on the sport and that's fine too. The sport needs them.
I find the behavior of SOME Ward fans who are gloating to be obnoxious and here's why.
The result is most definitely controversial. You may support the result but your'e an idiot if you don't acknowledge it is controversial.
Boxing is in trouble. We are not having enough big exciting fights. Elite fighters are avoiding each other and when they fight the fights are often technical and boring to the average fan. Meanwhile UFC is growing like crazy.
The very LAST thing we need is a fight that is supposed to be the biggest fight of the year be marred by excessive holding and a controversial result.
These fights are supposed to be the fights that attract new viewers, not an opportunity for people in the stadium to boo the result.
So to gloat over the result just shows a completely immature attitude to the sport. What happened was exactly what we don't need. It hurt the sport and boxing is already in serious trouble.

We need fighters like Kovalev, GGG and Lomo because even new fans without deep knowledge of the sport can get into fights that way. Dissing them is just ******.

Watched it numerous times now and can not make a case for Andre , I hope he does more than try and fiddle and survive in the rematch and please take the mic from Paulie M! Very disappointed with Ward I was hoping he would win and win clearly as he said he would but he didn't even win !

I disagree with his assessment of the action. No, it wasn't Gatti-Ward (or even close to a fight of the year candidate), but it was very exciting and almost nerve-racking, in my opinion. It was a chess match. It wasn't nearly as much holding as people keep crying about. There could have been less, but some of it was them fighting on the inside and trying to show who was stronger. People just need to relax and get geared up for the rematch. Ward will have to be dominant though. I think the boxing world will explode if he wins another close decision. LOL.

It could have gone either way but I gave it to Kov. Seriously there was no robbery. It was that close. Im a bit surprised not even 1 judge gave ir for Kov but hey...
Good deal. People are wayy too dramatic with the robbery talk and I'm glad that someone who gave it to Kov can see that it was close. People have to remember that it's about rounds and many people are simply overreacting to round 2. If you win 7 rounds, you still win the fight even if you get knocked down once. It was a really close fight and I'm looking forward to the rematch. Hopefully, in the 2nd fight, things will be a bit clearer.

these 3 fan bases are pieces of **** and cant admit that their fighters lost.

i love starting **** in person with these fan bases, because it only takes a couple mins to prove that they are new fans and dont know anything about boxing except like i always say "ducking ducking ducking ducking"
You sound like a typical racist dude, lol. Anyone who supports a Caucasian boxer is a POS in your opinion. It's all "these fan bases" that have the problem doe; sounds like a familiar narrative.

I'm a big Mayweather fan, but I can honestly say that many of his followers are pretty bad. I don't call people ****ty or ******, so I'm definitely not saying that about any fanbase. Mayweather fans have the benefit of Mayweather being undefeated, so a lot of the criticism he gets can be readily pushed aside. He is an ATG, and a lot of the heat that he gets from boxing fans is unwarranted in my opinion, but some of his supporters turn a blind eye to a lot. Examples:

                      1) Not acknowledging that some people don't like Mayweather because of his out of ring issues.
                      2) People actually defending the Berto fight.
                      3) And the biggest thing that is brushed aside is the fact that he didn't always take the toughest fight when it was there. This last point can be all over the place. Considering the names on his resume, I think people harp on this a bit too much, but it is a fair criticism that many Money fans just blow off instead of acknowledging that at some points better fights could have happened.

All fighters have some fans and haters that use less logic and reason. Many Pac fans are actually Mayweather haters and vice versa, so it's hard to zero in on who is the fan base and who isn't. Ward fans tend to not be too fond of Kov (at least for now) and GGG. Former Kessler and Froch fans hate Ward. Hell, Povetkin fans blamed Wilder for Povetkin cheating. LOL... People in general are just full of **** for the most part. When your fighter wins, it leaves you more justified (at least from a logical standpoint), but it doesn't make you right.

Another fighter: Chavez Sr. also can do no wrong to many fans. Some people actually tried to say he won the Sweet P fight. LOL LOL.

Damn! This was wayyyy longer than I intended, but hopefully I got what I was trying to say across.
