Welcome back, and yes, this place thinks Kovalev won by a roughly 3 to 1 margin. There's a poll around here somewhere, and as of roughly 12 hours ago, it was about 300 to 100 thinking Kovalev won the fight.

I have been away for a long time, following my embarassing failures at predicting. I considered returning when Ward beat Kovalev, but nah, it wasn't surprising to me. Ward is just better. I would have returned if Walters beat Lomachenko, though, just to tell people how right I was on both outcomes. Well, I was only right on 1 of them. Respect to Ward and respect to Lomachenko, true elite fighters who now should have earned the respect of any fair boxing fan. I was wrong about Lomachenko and in a way, I was also wrong about Kovalev. Ward is not leagues above him. They are in the same league and Ward is just better. I have been humbled, but yet again, it has given me back a lot of my passion for the sport. To be proven wrong once in a while is important in order to not feel bored by predicting right all the time.

He used to be able to cross the distance in an instant, now he has to try and slip in clumsily because his speed used to carry the day.

Yup, completely lost his legs. He was looking sad actually.

Also lost his reflexes and for some reason didn't use proper head placement on his jab like he used to. Seemed very weird to me.
