Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Stands Firm: I Will Fight Pacquiao - Not Above 135!

LAS VEGAS Vasyl Lomanchenko subtly began negotiating Saturday night for a 2017 fight against Manny Pacquiao. Fresh off his complete domination of Nicholas Walters, Lomanchenko told a group of reporters at The Cosmopolitan that ideally he wouldn't have to move north of 135 pounds for a shot at the Filipino superstar. Promoter Bob Arum reiterated Saturday night that Pacquiao-Lomachenko is a realistic possibility for the second half of 2017.

why not 140? you go up 10 pounds and Pac comes down 7 pounds esp since he is the clear A-Side

Manny pacquiao would ruin this guy at 135, literally turn him into David Diaz again who was the Light Weight Champ at the time and Manny walked through him. Manny pacquiao, is always the ASide unless there's a woman named Floyd involved. He better make it to 140 or else he will forever be nothing but a fighter fighting good oppOnents, but won't move up or down for a lucrative opponent like Manny. He beats Manny, his life changes. I would rather have someone humble and skilled like Lomma to get the torched passed to him from another southpaw superstar, but pacquiao is strong as **** at 140 lol super strong lol all u fux out there wouldn't have **** to say once he goes back down in weight and is knocking out everyone hahaha

Well add Lomo to the list of guys Pac will not fight after that completely dominant performance last night... Pac said as recently as last week he would have no problem making 135 that should be the limit he's still a small guy if he doesn't take the peds but I think Pac better start looking for another B guy, there'5 guys Pac will not fight..

whether they make it at 135 or 140, the loser will instantly use the weight as an excuse.

I think it's highly unlikely that Pacquiao goes to 135! "Manny Weight" is 144, Loma weight is 130, so a CW fight should be @ 137 at the minimum! If Loma wants to be in the company of ATGs like Whitaker, JCC Sr., De La Hoya, Mosely, and Mayweather, then he takes the fight with Pacquiao at any weight under 140! Fights like Salido, Vargas, Mikey Garcia, etc., are good fights, Pacquiao vs. Lomachenko is a GREAT fight!
