And, the part where they credit Kovalev's body shot, then ignore Ward's 2 or 3 better shots pretty much told me that the script had taken over.

You can still conclude the same if you want, that's the most I can offer.

its good to know you guys finally admit pac beat floyd since pac landed the better shots. kinda weird that you change the way you score depending on who is fighting. the guys you like always seem to win even if it directly contradicts the way you just scored another fight. are you tired of doing these mental gymnastics?

well that body **** did make ward bend down so he felt it more than the others, or reacted to it way more than the others.

yeah i watched it. kov landed more and had ward hurt. why is this a ward round? you didn't post the gif when kov timed ward perfectly with a coutner right hand that he walked straight into. i wonder why? ward had 2 nice hooks and some other ok shots. kov had that great right hand and a body shot that hurt ward along with some other ok shots. close but with kov landing slightly more and hurting ward it makes no sense to give it to ward. both had 2 very good shots so thats equal, kov hurt ward so advantage kov, and kov landed slightly more so advantage kov. you know all that and score it for ward?

You wasted your time OP.

Folks who think they saw a robbery last week are still going think they saw one no matter how much these gifs say otherwise.

Folks who think Kovalev won a wide decision aren't going to change their minds, even if Sergei himself watches the fight, realizes the mistakes he made, and holds a press conference to say so.

And when Ward beats him easier in the rematch (should it happen) they will continue to cling to this.

But, none of them asks themselves the obvious questions because that would get into territory they don't want to go near.

When is the last time we saw anyone outland Kovalev in a round, nevermind someone doing it six times?

How many times has Kovalev had a guy he KD early make to the end of the fight?

And how many were competitive AFTER Kovalev put them on their arse?

We saw something very special whether folks want to admit it or not.

You think he's bending down from pain? He's trying to block but doing it half a sec too late. The evidence is that he fires back and then bends his body the other way and slams Kovalev to the body. When you get hurt to the body, you don't immediately expose yourself like that, you can only think of protecting it. I'm sure Andre felt it, but that bend was sloppy defense.

I won't disagree that it was a good shot though. Quick and crisp. I was happy for Kovalev that he was finally able to get something going inside. I predicted he'd go after the body and Sergey was letting me down all night. Only problem was, Ward was besting him at that game. The last punch in the gif (where Sergey shutters) looks pretty rough to me.
