Comments Thread For: Arum: Walters Has A Great Chance - A Very Dangerous Puncher!

LAS VEGAS Bob Arum knows a thing or two about big underdogs. During the two weeks preceding Super Bowl XLII, the Hall-of-Fame boxing promoter told anyone who would listen to bet the Giants, who opened as a two-touchdown underdog against New England, on the money line. Arum, a Giants season-ticket holder since 1957, did exactly that and won a lot of money when the Giants, a 12-point underdog at kickoff, upset the Patriots, 17-14, in February 2008 in Glendale, Arizona.

    I agree with this.

ok, Loma being favourite is fair enough, but the bookies have Tony Bellew having a better chance to beat David Haye than Walters has of beating Loma, and that doesn't feel right.

I think that is more down to Haye due to his inactivity and low class of comeback opposition. Loma, Walters and Bellew are know quan******.

arum realized his promotion for this fight has been totally one sided, giving all the praise to loma..now at the last minute he's giving props to the axe man lol..anyway i didn't like how walters looked at the weigh in, he definitely struggled to make it. .picking loma by UD.

What am I missing here? Walters is undefeated and can really punch. Why is he an underdog to a 6-1 bar fighter? Is Walters moving up like 3 weight classes or something?

I think Walters is the naturally bigger man? Plus he has KO power coupled with above average skills and quickness. I think the current odds are misguided. Loma will have his hands full tonight. I'm still on the fence with this one. Should be a fab fight.
