I like Lomachenko, but he's quickly becoming the most overrated dude in boxing. Maybe he'll shut me up tonight.

For me - Walters looked far sharper against Donaire than he did Sosa, and not related to the opponent, more Walters' foot movement, which imo if he had kept it at the Donaire level would have seen less land from Sosa.

Its a fair question - weight fluctuation never has a positive effect on a boxers performance, and often a negative effect, and when looking at what appears to be some indication of loss of movement in the Sosa fight, fair question as to how he will get back to the Donaire level of mobility after 11 months of inactivity and a large weight swing.

The thing I feel most confident about in the fight is that if Donaire couldn't get Walters out of there, Loma can't either, so unless Walters finishes Loma early (unlikely but possible), Walters will be there in a long tiring fight, and condition will play a part.

So while Walters was going overboard on his mama's bammies, Loma was running marathons in his spare time. Will we see evidence of this going down the stretch ? Dunno - but fair question.

As an aside, I thought this article was an excellent assessment of the fight.
Loma may not punch as hard as Donaire, but he is quicker, has more stamina and isn't a former flyweight.

If Walters is noticeably tired by the championship rounds, it's possible that some well-placed body shots will put him down.

This is pretty much Kovalev-Ward again. You have the slick, skilled boxer vs. the skilled (but seemingly not as skilled) boxer puncher, though I think the class difference is far wider in this case. I got Loma by comfortable UD, but we all know how boxing matches can go.

Great matchup. Can't wait to see it. Kovalev Ward one week then Loma Walters the next. Boxing is coming back!

No media push for this fight. Shame. The undercard seems to suck too. Main even is all to look for, for the people in the know.
