    Adonis steveson is 39..

Born 1977-I'm late on this, but this kinda freaked me out.

Does this kinda take him out of the mix by default?

He's a young 39, got into the sport late, hasn't really fought a guy that really tested him and doesn't drink or do drugs so I think he's fine.

No. But he's taken himself out of the mix via fighting a couple years worth of bs opponents.

I can't think of a guy who's made worse decisions to take himself out of the #1 spot in his division without losing a fight quite like Stevenson has. I think he's a f#cking moron, but I'm still hoping somehow, someway we get to see him in a big fight or two before he's done cuz I do give him a chance to beat anyone in the division & I think its ultimately worthwhile for all involved for those fights to happen even if they are later than they should be.

That said like with Canelo & Danny I'm actively rooting for all of them to lose to a bs opponent before their big fight happens to lessen or lose that big payday they should have coming if they weren't so into cherry picking.

He'll get exposed soon and become irrelevant. You could tell in his recent fights. Even though he won the fights he had some questionable moments. Might happen against Eledier Alvarez...

He beat THE light heavyweight champ and has beaten 2 or 3 of the top 10 light heavies at the time of fighting them.

His resume isn't bad like many make it out to be YET he has missed out on Pascal and Hopkins. I feel largely that's more to do with his management and the bigger bucks offered to both names by HBO.

I feel h2h Stevenson probably beats Kovalev and beats Ward, although I have flip flopped on the former.

40 years old and nothing on his resume

Yet people talk about him like he's some 23 year old up and comer right up where with kovalev and ward in this big p4p chase... I've never understood it. His career is over before it started.
