  • Is Compubox Counting Holding+Punching Punches? Those are illegal

There is no way Andre Ward punched Kovalev 100+ times in the fight in the center of the ring.

Kov's face is completely unmarked and he's a white man. It's a fact white skin gets marked/cut easier.

This fight is a complete farce once you realize Ward's holding and hitting tactics are completely illegal. You discount those hits and the disparity is even more comical.

Nope and Kovalev did it just as much as Ward.

The fact that you thought they had counted them proves you don't know what you're watching.

nope. Ward is a master of it as he does it his entire career. he hit Kov way more as they are clinched. Kov for the most part just clamped down his arms.

Tell me about it lol, your thread is only going to trigger the bunch of racist asshats on this forum who live in a little box who think Ward won.

Good thing the Judges can not consider compubox stats during their appointed task.

you don't think they counted those punches enroute to giving Ward the decision?

I still don't know which punches you are referring too? you can not prove compubox counted any punches you deemed illegal...so this whole discussion is baseless but I just came in to derail your troll attempt before it got into full steam. Sorry.

Dirty punches while tied up are factually the majority of punches landed by ward. subtract those and he lost every round in the fight by a wide margin.

That's why I don't understand how so many people call it a draw. You either count those or you don't. If you don't then kovalev easily won. if you do then ward probably had a higher total.

You can have your opinion on whether they count and who won but don't revisehow the fight actually went.

Outboxed. Knocked down. Won via racking up pittypat points while lunging in.

Learn to understand what you're looking at. This isn't like Salido holding Loma's shoulder with one hand and punching him with the other.
What I've seen many, many times in Ward's career is that, once he gets inside, opponents wrap their arms around him to shut him down. Then, the refs allow him to strike because it's primarily the opponent holding him. Andre often even extends his trapped arm, while he strikes with the other, to show that he is the one being held. This happened in the Kovalev fight. If opponents don't like it, they have options.
