The irony in these takes are amazing. When Povetkin kept rushing in against Wlad all we heard about was Klitschko holding. When Maidana bullrushed Floyd in the first fight, you had folks screaming about how he'd really beat Mayweather and was robbed.

So what happens?

Ward employs the tactic better and more cleanly than either guy and gets held a record 54 times because of it and somehow it's Andre's fault? Somehow, being repeatedly put in a reverse headlock before anything else can happen is Andre holding?

While I did wish the two didn't clinch so much, I don't think Ward was fighting "dirty." He was trying to get on the inside because it's a strength of his and a weakness of Kovalev's.
