Not once did I see Kov reach out to grab Ward.

On the other hand...there were numerous times throughout the fight where Ward rushed in head first and as a result Kovalev put his azz in a headlock.

Nobody forced kovalev to put him in a headlock. He did so willingly. He clinched, get over it.

        He actually counter-clinched.

Don't rush in head first and hold at the waist and you dont get headlocked.

The one responsible for the clinching is the one initiating it.

          So what happens?

Ward employs the tactic better and more cleanly than either guy and gets held a record 54 times because of it and somehow it's Andre's fault? Somehow, being repeatedly put in a reverse headlock before anything else can happen is Andre holding?

          Ok, if you say so...
          hilarious aint it..lol

What's up with Wards mullet? Every time I see that hairdo I am ashamed that is in style this day in age.

So what are you saying? That he grabbed Ward every time Ward moved in to grab him? LOL.

While I did wish the two didn't clinch so much, I don't think Ward was fighting "dirty." He was trying to get on the inside because it's a strength of his and a weakness of Kovalev's.
