Comments Thread For: Arum: Only Mayweather Knows If He's Coming Back For Pacquiao

LAS VEGAS If Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford are successful in their respective upcoming fights, their promoter will present each fighter as a potential opponent to Manny Pacquiao. Bob Arum could've made Pacquiao-Crawford multiple times in 2016, but Pacquiao fought Timothy Bradley a third time April 9 and Jessie Vargas on November 5. Lomachenko, the WBO's 130-pound champion, would have to move up at least five pounds, probably 10, to secure a lucrative Pacquiao fight.

Please Santa - I only want one thing for xmas...please assure me Mayweather will stay retired.

As for Loma, one thing that would suprise me a LOT is if Loma took a business fight. My impression of him is that he loves boxing more than money, and a business fight would say otherwise.

As he said, he will be able to make 135 next year, not tomorrow (he could fight at 135 tomorrow if he went business, but the boxer in him knows better). Meantime, the fighter in Pac would be willing to go to 135 to meet him. Trouble is, an aged Pac dropping weight will be like an aged De La Hoya dropping weight - the fighter in them says yes, their bodies say no. Easy win for Loma.

Meantime Roach knows darn well that Pac would lose at 135, so will dig his heels in at 140, which would be too big for Loma, and far more comfortable for Pac. So Pac/Loma won't happen unless Arum is willing to sell Loma down the river (which he would, ie a 140 fight), and Loma goes for it (which he wouldn't) or Pac overrules Roach for 135 (which he won't).

Meantime Roach doesn't like the idea of Crawford either (for good and obvious reasons), so I wonder if either is even a possibility.

Manny had his chance and he blew. He needs to leave Floyd alone and let Floyd enjoy retirement. The only reason Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao keep saying Floyd's name is to promote their fights.

Mayweather would be hard put to face another injured PAC that missed 3 weeks of training and a load of Steriods that he was busily washing out of his system while the money people turned their heads!

More eyes will be on jr .

He won't fight PAC again with two guns and no roids.

The best thing for jr is not chance getting caught in the act and ruined so stay away Jr

Besides your nothing but a shrimp piece of chcikenshlt! Save yerself !! Run away little rabbit da wolf will getcha in THE END

Why would he want to fight Pac again? Where is the motivation? Floyd can make millions fighting a bum if he made a comeback, why fight Pacquiao?

                    Good post .

The thing is Manny wont even attempt 135 its just waffle , he will have to really work to make 140 and thats the weight Manny will want .

Just run with Crawford who will stop Manny at 140 by the time the fight happens .
