There's such a wide variety of opinion on this one. The ONLY people who are wrong are those who think their perspective is the only acceptable one.

When we got to the last round, before the decision, I predicted that this decision would be debated for a LONG time. It was that kind of fight.

There is no wide variety of opinion.

Some 80% of major publications and their pundits had it for Kovalev. Many of them had it by some margin.

90% if not more of them had predicted the fight for Ward. So you can't even cite bias.

Kovalev won. End of. Everything else is conjecture.

Would not take anything anyone on sky sports says seriously. They pick their fighter before hand and wank silly over him throughout the night, this time they chose ward.

No the whole thing is conjecture.

Also I believe it was actually something closer to 70%, 73% I think was the number. 27% of ringside media thinking Ward won or drew is actually quite significant, and only 6 out of 60 thought the fight was wider than 115-112 either way, 1 for Ward and 5 for Kovlev. So that means 54 out of the 60 with media credentials ringside had the fight between 115-112 Kovalev to 115-112 Ward (39-15 respectively)...again pointing to a close decision. The punch stats - which I don't really hold that much weight to, BUT again if you look overall lands and lands by round, they point to a close fight.

If you include fighter opinions - I actually think it would swing the percentages more in Ward's favour.

People like you, who think your opinion is final or "Kovalev won, end of" to me are the just whiny little ******* to be honest. The fact that you exaggerated the statistics in your own argument to suit your opinion, also undermines your whole argument.

For me - the fight is 114-113 either way - I have actually scored it for both on different viewings. That is MY opinion, and it isn't any less valuable than yours, it also doesn't hold any more significance. But to say there is no wide variety of opinion, or no debate is ignorant - and the evidence suggests otherwise.

I ended up with 114-113 Ward as well. However, I believe I gave Kovalev round 6 and Ward round 11

The sky sports team always try to make a fight fit their predictions. When Ward looked in big trouble early they were already starting with the "kovalev too big,Wards legs aren't what they used to be".Listen to Nelson before the fight.Ward by 10th round stoppage? Ward who stops almost no one against a guy never stopped.Biased as feck.

Who gives a sh.it? Go back and look at all the press scores on the Marquez vs Pacquiao III fight. Most of them had Marquez winning. Even most of the press that scored it for Kovalev only had him winning by two to three points. That's not a landslide. Personally I had Kovalev up on my scorecard, but I thought it was close.

So can we stop with the crying already? This wasn't the biggest robbery in boxing history. This wasn't De La Hoya vs Strum or even Pacquiao vs Bradley for that matter. They're going to fight again. Both fighters will have the opportunity to get a decisive victory.
