Don't even have to read this to know it's just a spin on the the fact that this guy has already lost some fights. Another Top Rank bum that will end up owing ArScum money instead of going to Goldenboy and being PAID properly and managed by a real fighter who knows how to make money without lying to the fans.

Bigger fan of how Loma has been thrown right into the fire than of Loma himself if I'm being honest.

I hope more high level amateurs in the bigger weight divisions start doing this more often too. I wish the whole sport worked like this where you win & move up quicker than the overwhelming majority of prospects & promising guys do. I believe the sport of boxing would be more respected if there were more competitive fights & this style of moving guys up in class would help bring more competitive fights to boxing at all levels of the game. And don't get me wrong you don't need to be fighting for a title in your 2nd fight like Loma, but it shouldn't take 4-5 years to go from pro debut to title fight with probably 2-3 years of that 4-5 years vs guys who had 10% or less chance of winning at best.

"no one will ever be able to say his record is padded with fluff." More power to Loma. He is indeed a very special talent.

As long as the networks are willing to sign off on mismatches, there will always be a lot of fluff in a fighters record.

At the end of the day professional boxing is a business in which a lot of money is invested in fighters.

To recoup that investment, managers are very selective about who their fighters fight. More often than not they always take the path of least resistance. Cannot blame them especially in this business where a loss can be career suicide!!

Some fighters have networks behind them. Most dont.
Some fighters can have their selection of opponents and fight often. Most dont have that luxury.

Nicholas Walters is another outstanding undefeated fighter but has not received quite the same press. I wonder why.
What ever happened to Rigo an equally talented fighter who has yet to lose a fight.

No clue what you are talking about in regards to this topic.

Boxing is a dangerous sport even when everything is setup perfectly. Severe injuries & death are going to happen as disturbing as that is. Beginning amateur boxers to professional champions should all know & have accepted that risk.
