Ward got the UD to generate Buzz/Hype, Rematch will be HUGE $$$ for Boxing/HBO/SKY

Just think about it for a moment. Boxing doesnt generate big bucks. There wasnt much hype for Ward vs Kovalev.
Neither Andre Ward or Sergey Kovalev were big ticketsellers or was there a huge anticipation for this fight beside the boxingheads and hardcore fans.

Froch vs Groves wasnt a big fight either, but after that controversial stoppage the rematch got Amazingly Huge.

The hype for Ward vs Kovalev II got an amazingly HUGE Boost after the controversial decision as well, many people call it a robbery or at least a very controversial decision. Some others defend Ward and say he came back in the later rounds and swept those, which warranted the decision. Everyone is talking about it on social media, with their friends, in forums and websites. Everybody has an opinion about it. That fight is over and right after that the Hype started buzzing.

What if HBO, SKY, all the commentators and most importantly the official judges had scored the fight for Kovalev, lets say 7:5 + Knockdown and Kovalev would have gotten the 115:112 UD which most other media members had as well?

Would there be any hype for a rematch?? No. Kovalev was the champ, he knocked Ward down, put more hurt on Ward and won a close good fight.

Now with the perception from certain media that say Ward won, the judges who scored the fight for Ward and many fans worldwide and in the US are going crazy and a even a ton of casual fans show interest.

Almost Everybody wants to see the rematch.

Ward fans say Ward has figured Kovalev out and will domiate him next time.

Kovalev fans say, Kovalev needs to get his belts back and knock out Ward this time or win every single round to get the decision.

There is amazing hype for the rematch and it will generate big numbers.

HBO/SKY, the judges and certain people who were involved, know exactly what they are doing. The two fighters are just the puppets in a huge moneymaking showbusiness.

Idk Jube, Kovalev definitively deserves a rematch for the injustice that took place last Saturday but the fight itself was only good during the first half, the rest was awkward, with ugly wrestling and had lots of holding.

It's going to be a hard sale's pitch because they both don't have huge fan bases and the aftermath/result left a bad taste in a lot people's mouth, a black eye for the sport.

Casuals/non-sports types are already distrustful and disillusioned with boxing because of the May/Pac shietshow. What's make you think they'll be interested now? Like I said, it's a hard sale.
