    I think a gift is "man that was a close round that boxer A may have nicked", but the judges gave it to boxer B. I thought Pacquiao vs Marquez II was a gift, but Pacquiao vs. Bradley was a robbery.

      I think a gift is a fight where a fighter was fortunate to get a decision but you can reasonably find enough rounds in his favor to get the W. A robbery is one where he did not deserve a decision and there is no conceivable way to score it fir that fighter.
