Larry said that Shavers hit him so hard that he actually woke him and activated his senses; he said that if Shavers would have hit him a little less hard, he would have been out. -
That right there, is real fortitude. Holmes had every right to lay out and hear that 10 count, but no - pure guts.
If only Shavers had a little more gas in the tank, and could be a bit more direct with his punches, he may have finished Holmes off though. Great job by Holmes to bob and weave his way out of those looping punches and uppercuts - while everything was still fuzzy, no doubt.Comment
