why are people are overlooking walters....

This guy is a beast, demolished donaire and should be unbeaten. Yet people have took it for granted that lomachenkos got the win? On about future fights, his next steps after the fight
Odds on lomachenko are as short as 1/12 for him to win (golovkin to beat brook was 1/4 to put it in perspective), odds which have the bookies seeing this as a complete mismatch.
Why arent people giving walters a shot? Although im prediction lomachenko to do this, i was expecting this to be seen as near on a 50/50 fight when it was made. Is there anyone who thinks walters can spoil the lomachenko party? And should it even be considered a 'shock' if so? These are two world class fighter fighting each other...

Good question. Maybe they think his last fight was actually a draw. Or, they're just totally enchanted by the Loma hype.
I'm starting to favor Loma by a slim margin, mostly because Walters looks like Skeletor this week. Vasyl deserves to get a lot of credit beyond what his resume proves because we can see he's highly skilled. I think he's getting a bit too much credit here though because Walters is solid and dangerous. He's not a shot Martinez.
    Looking forward to this one.

who the hell is over looking him? I have not seen one real boxing fan here on NSB who I consider to actually know the sport say anything that even remotely suggest that they are overlooking Walters.

I have. Lots of them in the main thread saying Loma will put on a boxing clinic, etc. The odds reflect an extremely one-sided fight as well.
It seems like most real fans know Nicholas his the tools to win this and it should be a very competitive fight.

What do you mean he "should be unbeaten"? He is unbeaten.

As for Walters, he didn't do much before Donaire and the KO of the former champ took him to new levels but what has he done since?

I'm worried he isn't cracked up to all we thought he would be and the Donaire win flattered him.

Or he is better than his last 2 performances and is about to turn it on but we can't go by ifs and buts in these things.

Loma on the other hand has looked solid and at times very good throughout, the only thing that has troubled him is physicality. Can Walters bring that? Is he fit enough to do it for 12 rounds? If Walters can't land, Loma will outwork him over the championship rounds.

Thats why learned boxing fans are predicting a Loma win.

Most however are doing it because they like Lomas skin tone or nationality so they want him to win, which translates to thinking he'll win. Either way, there's more chance of Loma winning than there is of Walters winning.

I'm not convinced. I'm not sure his success at featherweight was because he was a good big fighter or truly an elite fighter.

Oh I haven't counted Walters out at all. His punching power is fierce and he can definitely take the win. Loma is on a higher level as far as boxing skills IMO, but the Axeman can take this. The odds should be neck and neck on this fight. That's what makes it so exciting. I'm looking for it to be a very fun fight to watch. I do believe that Walters has to make it an inside fight though. Loma is very tough on the outside with his movement. It's going to be interesting.

This is the kind of fight where if you're a betting man you should drop something on Walters cause those odds are way too wide for what is a very competitive fight.
