I'll just keep my thoughts here on what I have personally thought were the most anticipated fights for this year
Roman Gonzalez Vs. Carlos Cuadras
Oleksandr Usyk Vs. Krzysztof Glowacki
Vasyl Lomachenko Vs. Nicholas Walters
Keith Thurman Vs. Shawn Porter
Carl Frampton Vs. Scott Quigg
Carl Frampton Vs. Leo Santa Cruz
Gennady Golovkin Vs. Kell brook
Sergey Kovalev Vs. Andre Ward
Saul Alvarez Vs. Amir Khan
Terence Crawford Vs. Viktor Postol
Carl Frampton clear FOTY winner for me but those are what I think are the most anticipated fights in that order.
Some times PPV numbers do them credit for that and other times I think its just the hype in the media it's been a relatively quiet sort of year though.
Yep, Frampton fighter of the year and it's a no contest. Back to back world caliber opponents is a rarity these days, to do it for world titles across 2 divisions including an unification is almost extinct in modern fighters. Frampton should get a lot of credit for all that.
And in all honesty, even though both fights were close, Frampton showed he was clearly the better, more varied fighter in both.
I can make a list of the top 25 things I wana do your thread, broski.
Think it comes down to Loma's footwork, and if Walters can track him down while he is getting chain combo'ed in the process.
If Walters can establish his jab early, might be a long night for Loma.
I'll be in the RBR thread.
You know.
Where the "non-hardcores" are.
I dunno what "broski" is but if it's ******ed American talk, I don't care.
As for the fight, I've never seen Walters establish a dominant jab, not in the 4 or 5 fights I have seen of his so I'm not sure how he is supposed to do that against the bets prime fighter he will have faced.
Walters landing solid, big shots is not out of the question though and Lomas chin hasn't been properly tested.
